Stackdes (Self Supported Module)
STACKDES (Self Supported) is a stand-alone executable program that performs the overall structural analysis of Self Supported
Steel Stacks. It uses a stiffness matrix to completely model the stack and it's loadings, and then applies the appropriate
acceptance criteria based upon the user selected design code. The program also calculates the natural frequency of the structure
so that the dynamic along wind and dynamic across wind (vortex) loads can be applied to the stack. The software includes many
industry recognized codes and standards.
Stackdes includes an integrated version of Cone, Baseplate, and Strucflg. That means the user can automatically design these
components directly within Stackdes.
A security key is shipped with each order, by default a USB security key will be shipped. We also offer a Parallel security key. If you
prefer a Parallel security key please specify in the Comment Section of the order page. The security key will allow the user to
operate the software. The installation of the software can be installed on multiple computers, but will be limited by the number of
licenses purchased. At the end of the lease period, the software will revert to the demo mode​

Designed by professional engineers, for professional engineers, it models thermal radiation and noise footprints generated by flare systems for offshore platforms, gas plants, refineries and chemical plants, and predicts the temperature of exposed surfaces within range.

The application can analyse installations of any complexity, with unlimited multiple flare tips on multiple vertical, horizontal or inclined flare stacks. Users can model pipe flares, sonic flares and liquid burners using a range of algorithms. They can also enter and report data in units of their choice, and can convert data to other units at any time.

Flaresim provides full 3D flame-shape analysis with complete flexibility in the location and orientation of multiple stacks, and rapid evaluation of flare systems under different wind speeds and directions.
Working from the opposite perspective, Flaresim allows you to size stack or boom length to meet specific radiation, noise or surface-temperature limits at defined receptor points.
The output from Flaresim is highly customisable, and you can select either summary or detailed output. The reports include graphical output where appropriate.
Flaresim has a user-friendly interface that follows standard Windows conventions with menu and toolbar options. It also incorporates context-sensitive help at every stage for user guidance.​

Flaresim will run under Windows 2000, XP and Vista. A PC on which you wish to run Flaresim should have at least 256Mb of RAM, and should also have a parallel or USB port for connection of the Flaresim security key.
The Flaresim application is also available in a network version where usage of the software is controlled centrally through a licence server. Licensing is based on the number of simultaneous users of the program. ‘Commuter licensing’ – where licences can be checked out to PCs away from the network – is also supported.
The application comes with full documentation, including a complete description of the program methods and a number of tutorials containing worked examples.
